Nancy has taught various classes with Moon Parks & Recreation since Mrs. Francis B. Nimick donated the Robin Hill Center to Moon Township in 1971. Some of the classes she has taught have been mixed media, clay, and basic art, but currently she offers watercolor painting with a program called Splash. She obtained her Art Education degree from Penn State University and started instructing in 1952 in schools all over Pennsylvania. Nancy has taught at multiple locations such as Sweetwater in Sewickley, North Hills Art Center, and even her own home! She is also one of the founding members of West Hills Art League who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2016. Some of her past times include skiing and gardening.
Kent Johnson is a USPTA Elite Professional/PTR Tennis Professional, a distinction that only 3% of tennis professionals worldwide can claim. He has been with Moon Parks & Recreation for 5 years. Kent has played tennis for over 30 years, and has been pro for 20 years. He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. While instructing tennis for Moon and South Fayette in the spring, summer, and fall, Kent also assists with his wife’s design build company called Melissa Blackwood Homes & Interiors. The company is an all in one home design that can do as much or as little you want with your home. In his spare time Kent enjoys spending it with his Wife and two boys and also being outdoors.
