Moon Parks & Recreation is proud to sponsor Guitar Chords and Rhythm for Kids.  This class will introduce the fundamentals of playing guitar to young people ages 10-15. The emphasis will be on learning to change chords smoothly and easily in perfect rhythm. JR. TENNIS CLINIC

Dates:  Session 1:  Mondays (June 16 – July 14)
             Session 2:  Mondays (July 21 – August 18)

Time:  10 – 11 AM (7 – 10 year olds), 11 – Noon (11 – 14 year olds)

Cost:  Moon Residents - $50.00, Non-Residents - $60.00

PAINTED TENNIS SHOES

Moon Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring Painted Tennis Shoes.  This class is for children ages eight and up.  Bring your own white canvas sneakers (clean, dirt free) and we will paint and embellish them to make one-of-a-kind looks!  We will use some way-out designs and fun beads to adorn the laces and canvas sneakers.  For more information or to register, call 412-262-1703 or email us at info@moonparks.org. 

ROCK PAINTING

Moon Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Rock Painting Class.  This class is geared to children ages 8 and up.  Students will learn to go through the steps to paint rocks found in nature.  We will find rocks in special shapes such as heart-shaped rocks and others transform the rocks into animals, pieces of pizza or whatever the student wishes.  To register, call 412-262-1703, or email us at info@moonparks.org. 

DRIVER’S EDUCATION
June 16-27
Time:  9:00am - 12:00pm      
Location:    Robin Hill Center
Cost:   Registration fee- $25.00 Moon Residents, $30.00 Non-Residents -Class $325.

Moon Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Driver’s Education Course.  The course will be instructed by The Kennedy School of Driving.  Upon successful completion of the 30 hours of theory and 6 hours of in-car training, a certificate will be given that is accepted by most insurance companies for an insurance rate discount.  Please check your company on their policy.  The student does not have to be 16 to enroll for the theory, but must be 16 and have a learner’s permit for the on-the-road portion of the program.  The Registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and is payable to Moon Parks and Recreation Department.  This fee will secure your space in the class.  The balance of $325.00 is paid to Kennedy School of Driving on the first class.  The classes will be held at the Robin Hill facility.  If you would like to register, or have questions, please email us at info@moonparks.org, or call us at 412-262-1703.
