Moon Parks  is very thankful for the  gardening efforts of West Hills Girl Scout Cadette Troop # 51401.  Over the summer, the girls and their leaders, Mrs. Anne Willette and Lisa Sims, designed a garden plan for one of the Moon Park garden beds.  They cleaned, weeded, mulched and planted new perennials, black-eyed Susans, Russian Sage and other native species of wildflowers that are now on display by the park office.

The Moon Parks & Recreation Department is offering a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for you to choose from such as special events, summer camp and park clean-ups.  If you would like to assist or have any questions, please contact the parks department at 412-262-1703 ext. 13 or email at aottaviani@moonparks.org.
